Candy's sister, Peggy E. Klump, operates Peak Performance Dressage in Southern California at Greystone Stables located in Upland. Peg is available for training, lessons, clinics, judging as well as horse selection, evaluation and sales.

We are happy to have this opportunity, via our website, to brag a about Peg and her horses.  She has outstanding credentials and is willing to work with all breeds of horses, Miniatures included, and all levels and ages of equestrians, from novices to FEI levels.  Peg will taylor her coaching to your goals--not everyone has their sites set on Grand Prix!  Peggy loves to share her skill and knowlege. After a lesson with her, students are awash with information and have no shortage of material to work on in between sessions! She truly has a passion for the sport and helping people and equines enjoy dressage as much as she does.

YES, Minatures!  We wish she were closer so that we could get actual, instead of a virtual, lessons on long lining and lounging via a telephone consultations!  Though not a driver, Peg is an expert at ground work. Did you know that a knowledgeable person can train a horse, with the mental and physical aptitude, to do Grand Prix dressage with long lines--just as they do at the Spanish Riding School in Vienna?

There is no better preparation for driving than developing a relaxed, flexible, responsive horse with rhythmic strides, impulsion and balanced transitions--even if you are not planning to pursue driven dressage--a growing sport which is usually part of a Combined Driving Event (CDE).

Recently elected again as the president of the California Dressage Society (CDS) , Peg has been on the Board of Directors for more than a decade.  She has also been a delegate to the United States Dressage Federation and has served on committees.  She has been a frequent contributor to Dressage Letters, USDF Connection and other publications.

At the 2007 USDF Convention in Florida, Peggy received her USDF Gold Medal for achieving qualifying scores at the Grand Prix Level with her Hannovarian gelding, Lemon Ice.

Accepted into the current class for the USDF "S" Judges' Training Program, Peg is traveling to educational sessions around the country to meet cirrulum  and examination requirements.
